In Antwerpen-Centraal take
the local ("L-") train in the direction of Roosendaal (NL).
There is a train every hour at 35min past the hour. The journey to Essen
takes 41 minutes arriving at 16 minutes past the hour. Get of the train in
"Essen". Coming from Antwerp this is the stop after
"Wildert".
In Roosendaal take
the "L" train in the direction of Antwerpen-Centraal. There is
a train every hour at 37min past the hour. The journey to "Essen"
takes only 7 minutes arriving at 44min past the hour. It is the next
stop after Roosendaal.
Attention:
The direct IC-train from Amsterdam to Brussels or vice versa stops in
Roosendaal, but NOT in Essen. The NMWS website will also give this as an
option with a change in Roosendaal. This option however will cost you
more as you need an International ticket!

-You can take our
shuttle service between the railway station and Heuvelhal at € 1 pp.
We try to schedule this bus following the arrival and departure times of trains.
- or you can walk 1850 meters to the festival.
-Cross the street and walk strait
ahead in the Stationsstraat (Station Street).
- You follow this street all the way, until you see a church before you
and the road takes a sharp angle to the right. The name of the street is
now Nieuwstraat.
- A 100m further you see the community hall on your left. Just after this building you'll see a large
hall called Heuvelhal, where you'll find the largest selection of
Christmas Beers in the world.
